Debi Key-Young is an Oregon native and has been selling Real Estate in the Portland,Beaverton Metro Area for over 21 years. Her love of her community, her involvement in the Freedom Calls Foundation, Open Door Shelter and Counseling Center and The Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors (PMAR) awards Debi Young Key the Realtor Good Neighbor Award for her extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in her community.
One of Debi’s most impressive accomplishments is her involvement in the Freedom Calls Foundation. This organization provides the ability for US soldiers serving abroad to connect live satellite with their families in the US at no cost to either party.She has recieved the 1 and only Humanitarian Award from Freedom Calls Foundation. Debi also was involved in purchasing 250 baskets of soaps, lotions and toiletries for the wives of the soldiers. She also made 250 Christmas ornaments and solicited donations of toys and gifts from local merchants.
Debi is also spent years as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Open Door Shelter and Counseling Center in Cornelius. Open Door assists the homeless in gaining the skills, health, esteem and resources they need to become self-sufficient. The organization serves more than 10,000 families each year. Debi works with lower income families to help them build better credit and find affordable housing.
Debi also helped open a Washington County policing center with her neighborhood watch, traveled to Bolivia to build a church and school for children. She also has managed to find time to volunteer with Easter Seals, coaching the Washington County Special Olympics and raised over $10,000 for a builder whose daughter needed a life saving bone marrow transplant.
